Louis did great and was all smiles for us all the way up until bedtime. Just before 9pm we all laid on the bed and he was calm but seemed to be fighting sleep. After about 40 minutes of fidgeting, Tiff saw a tear come down from his eye and he started to cry. He would calm down a bit, then look over at me and start crying all over again. He always slept with his foster dad so seeing me instead lying with him was no doubt tough for him.
But not to worry, all is good and Louis fell asleep only 10 minutes later held in Tiff's arms.
Tomorrow is our big travel day and I'll try to post another update before we head to the airport...Have a great Friday and enjoy the pics!
A little out of order- we went out to grab dinner and bring it back to Eastern...it's been a while since I've carried anyone on my back!
And finally, for those who made it this far in the blog, here is a video of Louis finding his belly button!
I can't wait to met him - you guys look so happy
ReplyDeleteOverwhelming emotions we feel and know you are experiencing! Louis’ personality comes through in the photos you’ve shared. What a cutie! We could almost his laugh when you saw a great big smile.
ReplyDeleteWish we could be at the airport to greet you knowing you have lots of loving support awaiting you as Louis meets his big sister, Liv. Bet Liv doesn’t sleep much tonight knowing Mommy, Daddy and baby brother are coming home.
Safe journeys. A joyful time to have your family of 4 together!

ReplyDeleteSafe travels! Since Maria and I got to welcome Livia to the USA, we thought it only right that Uncle Bob should be there to welcome Louis to the USA! (He's there picking up my things from Mother and Dad, but is staying an extra day to see you!)

Mary
