Louis Joins Our Family!

It is getting late and unfortunately there are too many details for me to capture in writing.  Plus we need to get sleep in preparation for the long flight tomorrow.  So instead I will let the pictures tell the story, and let you know that it was a great afternoon for us.  (The crowd of people and kids are all the people on our floor who got to get their little ones today- very exciting times indeed...!)

Louis did great and was all smiles for us all the way up until bedtime.  Just before 9pm we all laid on the bed and he was calm but seemed to be fighting sleep.  After about 40 minutes of fidgeting, Tiff saw a tear come down from his eye and he started to cry.  He would calm down a bit, then look over at me and start crying all over again.  He always slept with his foster dad so seeing me instead lying with him was no doubt tough for him.

But not to worry, all is good and Louis fell asleep only 10 minutes later held in Tiff's arms.

Tomorrow is our big travel day and I'll try to post another update before we head to the airport...Have a great Friday and enjoy the pics!

A little out of order- we went out to grab dinner and bring it back to Eastern...it's been a while since I've carried anyone on my back!

And finally, for those who made it this far in the blog, here is a video of Louis finding his belly button!

  2. Overwhelming emotions we feel and know you are experiencing! Louis’ personality comes through in the photos you’ve shared. What a cutie! We could almost his laugh when you saw a great big smile.

Wish we could be at the airport to greet you knowing you have lots of loving support awaiting you as Louis meets his big sister, Liv. Bet Liv doesn’t sleep much tonight knowing Mommy, Daddy and baby brother are coming home.

Safe journeys. A joyful time to have your family of 4 together!

  3. Great pictures and video! Louis is precious! Love his smile and the twinkle in his eyes! You will make a perfect family of 4!

Safe travels! Since Maria and I got to welcome Livia to the USA, we thought it only right that Uncle Bob should be there to welcome Louis to the USA! (He's there picking up my things from Mother and Dad, but is staying an extra day to see you!)

    Love,
    Mary
