Good News- Legals!

We got good news today!  Louis's legals finally arrived from Korea.  This is the first milestone in the series of things that need to happen before we can go to get him.  We took this for granted with Liv because her legals came with her referral and we didn't have to wait at all.  Unfortunately all the red tape is going to take longer for Louis than it did for Liv.  Now that we have our legals, our agency can file for our I600 petition with US Citizenship and Immigration Services.  Then we wait again for that approval.  In the meantime there is a lot of paperwork that needs to go through the Korean government.  It is a very frustrating process and a lot to explain to people who haven't been through this.  So, I won't bore you any more with the details.  We just want it done so we can bring our baby home!  

Challenge- How Much You Can Fit in a 1-Gallon Ziploc?

We get to send over 2 1-Gallon Ziploc care packages for Louis.  Here is a picture of everything I fit in his first bag.  Hopefully it will make it to Korea in time for his foster mom to receive at his next well baby check-up.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his foster family will know how to work the digital camera.  Most people send disposable cameras but I want lots of pics so I thought I'd take my chances.  It's actually  pretty amazing how much you can squish into one of those bags.  I still had a little room to spare so I added a taggie book that isn't in the picture.  I hope that he will get to bring the lovey stuff home like Liv did.  To this day she still carries her baby everywhere with her in the house.   

Our Family is Growing!!!

On September 22, 2010 our family of 3 officially became a family of 4!  Louis Nelson was born on March 25, 2010 in South Korea and is waiting for us with his foster family in Seoul. 

We don't expect to travel to Seoul for up to 11 months, but we're already looking forward to bringing our little guy home to introduce to everyone!  Liv is also excited to have a little brother and keeps telling us "she will be nice to him".
